Just Imagine.

You follow the gentle and uphill winding road. Graceful and shady trees line your path. Hills scattered with granite outcrops and covered in vines look down at you from every angle. Snow capped mountains glance at you from afar.

You come across a driveway covered in crunchy gravel which leads you past the rows of box hedges and the amazing flowering crab apple trees to the most gorgeous double storey stone cottage you have seen. Are you somewhere in the Tuscan hills? does it remind you of Provence?, or could you be in the English Moors?

You approach the cottage. Walking up the hand hewn granite steps, past the climbing rose and flowering clematis to the inviting fly wire door you cannot imagine what is inside. The travertine cobblestones invite you into the kitchen with its handmade oak table and chairs. The Italian Baumatic stove and cook top, Smeg dishwasher, handmade Lansdowne ceramic sink and travertine stone bench tops beckon a quality kitchen experience.

As you look to the left the Belgian linen covered lounge suite with its feather down seats and cushions oozes comfort. The pot belly stove provides warmth and dreaminess. The handmade French lamp dapples the room in a gorgeous light and on a warm summer night the linen curtains sway in the beautiful summer breeze. What a way to get away from it all.

The double French doors from the kitchen lead you to the private pergola and courtyard where the hand hewn wooden table and seats provide the perfect place for enjoying a local wine and alfresco meal at any time of the day.

Upstairs you can luxuriate in the queen size bed dressed with heavy cotton linen, goose down doona, electric blanket, and the most comfortable pillows we could find. Listen to the beautiful sounds of country silence under the glow of the hand made French lamps or gently flickering candlelight. Huddle in the chair next to the floor to ceiling window and take in the amazing view across the valley and vineyards to Mt Buffalo, or lie in bed and smile with amusement as the Guinea fowl congregate on the pergola outside the window to the north and catch up on the day’s activities.

Relax with a soft and gentle rain shower or rejuvenate with an invigorating massage shower. Sample the range of exceptional French body products and soaps we provide to enhance the experience.

You take an early morning walk around the diverse and unique 10acre property. You have a long and lazy picnic lunch in the extensive French inspired gardens. You gaze at the stunning views from the hill at sunset……

You will feel relaxed, you will feel rested, you will allow the constant motion of the outside world to disappear, even if only for a couple of days.
